ECDA publishes questions to Commissioners designates ahead of upcoming hearings in EP
With the upcoming hearings of the Commissioners designates, the EU is at a crucial time-point to ensure that it adequately addresses the many challenges posed by the alarming rise in chronic diseases which affects more than a third of the population of Europe – over 100 million citizens.
ECDA has therefore drafted a series of questions to the Commissioners designates that cover a broad range of policy issues linked to the primary and secondary prevention related to chronic diseases and their common risk factors – tobacco use, poor nutrition, physical inactivity, alcohol consumption, and environmental factors.
ECDA questions are available here and are grouped according to the EP Committees’ competences (ENVI, ITRE, INTA, ECON, LIBE).
